Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Hilarious, Human, Heroic Dog

I have a tale in this recent Chicken Soup for the Soul books:

My tale is called "Gypsy," and it's a story about my rat terrier and how she appointed herself my guardian, companion and entertainer. You can find it on page 88.

And if you're a dog lover, I also have a nice dog tale in another Chicken Soup book:

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Life Lessons from the Dog: 101 Tales of Family, Friendship & Fun

It tells the story of my childhood beagle named Kleo, and how his faithfulness went beyond all expectations.

Bestselling Author for July at Tirgearr Publishing

I was just told that I am the bestselling author for July at Tirgearr Publishing, my publisher. Check it out:

Most of the sales were of my time-travel romance set in ancient Egypt, LADY OF THE TWO LANDS. You can see it here:

Technology Failure?

When  my kids were young and technology, to me anyway, was a computer with MS-DOS and dot matrix printers, I was considered the expert in our family. Anyone with a tech question came to me.I enjoyed working with the high-tec stuff and felt I was helpful/useful.

But gradually over the years, it seemed more and more complex. Sometimes I guessed right--through sheer luck--and managed to hang onto my honorary title of Mom the Magnificent.

But nowadays, I end up on tech support chats, waiting endlessly for someone to help me.

Today is an example. I've been trying to get into my blog--this one--and just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. It had only been a few days since my last post, but suddenly I couldn't get in. In desperation, I called my adult daughter away from whatever she was doing to help me. I had little confidence that she could help as I was positive it was my computer going bonkers and it wasn't my fault at all.

Well, after ten minutes, she had it "fixed." What was wrong was somehow I was logging in with the wrong sign-in...I was signing in as if I were a blog reader, not trying to post a blog of my own.

So I guess my honorary title is forfeited unless...wait, wait, I have an idea. No one seems able to figure out how to use apostrophes. I do. There's a title I can still hold!

I Write Like...

A fellow writer posted a link to a website that analyzes a few paragraphs of one of your books, and tells you who you write like. I checked it out and got Anne Rice. Cool!
