I is for Ice. Here’s the type of ice we’ve been getting all winter, not to mention the snow:
But it seemed winter had finally broken its stranglehold on us. Even the brave little crocuses were showing their heads. So at this point, when I turn on the computer to find we’re in a freezing rain advisory, I say loudly and to all who can hear:
I IS FOR ICK!!!

Gotta agree with you, Liz. I is for ICK! We're having the same lousy weather, and today it's accompanied by very high winds.
I am not happy with long freezing winters. I am too much of a lizard for that.

Christiane, I start each winter looking forward to snow. But this one has dragged on and on, and worn out its welcome.
Tarkabarka, lizards are cold-blooded, right? So I imagine they don't like cold climates. ;-)
I totally agree too! I don't like cold weather. Snow is pretty if it only comes once or twice a year and I don't have to drive in it. We've had some nice days, overcast today, a short thunder storm yesterday about this time, and looks like it's sprinkling now. But overall pretty good weather this week.
Today is overcast but warmer, 48 degrees, so all the snow is melted. Well, except in spots where it was piled high. I'm not sorry to see it go!
We barely got any winter in the pacific northwest this year. I can't say I envy the kind of winter that you had to contend with.
Thanks, Jeffrey. Usually we don't get so much snow in so short a period...we got 6+ feet in the space of 2-3 weeks. Too darn much!
